The APS Cricket Academy specializes in age appropriate skills training, conditioning, strength and agility training as well as batting, bowling and fielding practice. With professional coaches available to all ages, APS Cricket Academy is the right place to be for any aspiring young cricketer.

Weekly training sessions per age group are scheduled to provide year round training for the serious young cricketer, in order to develop skill and abilities throughout the year. APS Cricket Academy aims to send young men and women with character and respect for the game, both on and off the field into the sporting arena as well-developed players.

1. COACHING SESSIONS
Coaching runs for 12 months of the year, closing for the holiday season over the last 2 weeks of December and the first week of January.
During this cycle, there will be 2 short breaks during mid-year. Your monthly membership will be invoiced on the 1st month of every cycle, which is 3 cycles per year.
The invoice is payable once off or during this cycle. The months with 5 weeks offer extra lessons in the month and these sessions go towards covering the sessions that will be missed in the last 2 weeks of December and the first week of January.

2. COACHING FEES

2.1 Discount will be applicable to the following:
2.1.1 15% Discount of the total invoice amount for 3 siblings or more.
2.1.2 10% Discount of the total invoice amount for 2 siblings.

3. PAYMENT OF ACADEMY FEEs
Invoicing will be processed and send out by the 1st on each new cycle.
Parents may pay the full fee at once or pay over the duration of the cycle as they prefer.

4. CANCELLATION POLICY
Only Session cancelled by APS Cricket or its Coaches will be communicated to you, rescheduled and made up at the earliest possible day and time.
Any sessions cancelled or missed by players, parents or any other parties, will NOT be made up, credited or carried over to the following month.
Sessions cancelled due to injury or sickness (accompanied with doctor’s note) may be discussed with the head coach for POSSIBLE re-arrangements.
Due to our Head Coach’s involvement with the Namibia National Team, he may from time to time not be available to attend sessions. APS Cricket reserves the right to ensure these sessions are covered by a Coach or sessions will be combined.
APS Cricket will also endeavour to find other coaches to assist if deemed necessary. Should these options not work, Riaan Minnie will endeavour to reschedule the sessions at his discretion.
Coaching will NOT take place on Public holidays. Cancellation at the academy: We encourage all parents to please complete a cycle. One month written notice will be accepted should you not complete the next cycle period.

5 EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
5.1 We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event).
5.2 A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission, or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:
5.2.1 Strikes, lockouts or other industrial action.
5.2.2 Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war.
5.2.3 Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster.
5.2.4 Impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport.
5.2.5 Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks.
5.2.6 The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations, or restrictions of any government.
5.3 Our performance under any contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.

6. INDEMNITY AND RELEASE
I acknowledge:
6.1 That there are inherent risks associated with the activities which may result in personal injury in a serious manner.
6.2 To the full extent permitted by law, I absolve, indemnify, release and discharge APS Cricket (Pty) Ltd, its officers, employees, coaches, directors, shareholders, representatives (“Indemnities”) from any and all liability for any injury, loss, cost, charge, expense or damage suffered by my child or however caused, arising from or incurred directly or indirectly as a result of my or my child’s participation in the activities training and any service provided by APS Cricket, including without limitation as a result of any act, default, omission or negligence of the Indemnities.

7 Our Right to Vary These Terms and Conditions
7.1 APS Cricket has the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time.
7.2 The Client will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that you order products from us, unless any change to those policies or these terms and conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you), or if we notify you of the change to those policies or these terms and conditions before we despatch the relevant products to you (in which case we have the right to assume that you have accepted the change to the terms and conditions, unless you notify us to the contrary within seven working days of receipt by you of the products).

8. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT / CONSENT
8.1 I have read, understood, acknowledge and agree to all the matters referred to the memorandum of agreement, including the warning, release and indemnity.
8.2 I hereby give consent for any photographs/electronic media (eg video) of myself/my child to be published by APS Cricket Club Pty Ltd, for the purpose of marketing, newsletters, publications or other cricket-related business.
8.3 I hereby give permission for my contact and emergency details to be provided to the coaching staff.

9. GENERAL RULES FOR PARENTS AND PLAYERS
9.1. Create a fun and enjoyable environment.
9.2. Be a role model for your child. Remember children learn by example.
9.3. Support and encourage all players. Never mock or ridicule the efforts of the players.
9.4. Support, encourage, respect.
9.5. Show your appreciation and respect the efforts of the volunteers, the coach, assistant coaches, team manager, parent, helpers, umpires and club officials.
9.6 Support the efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from sporting activities. Bad behaviour and inappropriate actions will not be tolerated.
9.7 Players must be reminded that smoking and the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited at the grounds.
9.8 The parent shall ensure that his/her child is properly protected by wearing the correct cricket gear and clothing.
9.9 No parent interference during coaching. Rather drop and go.

10. PERSONAL PROPERTY
All of the child’s personal property is your own responsibility. If anything is missing when your child leaves, please inform us immediately. Expensive and treasured items such as jewellery, friendship bands, CD players, mp3 players, mobile phones, designer clothes/shoes/trainers etc. should not be brought to cricket coaching sessions or matches as they are often unnecessary and inappropriate.
During all activity, jewellery and other similar items may not be worn; the player will not be permitted to take part unless those items are removed. Users will make use of the facilities of Police Cricket Fields do so at their own risk, including the security of any keys used. It is recommended that all items brought to cricket are clearly marked with the player’s name.

11. INCOMPATIBILITY
APS Cricket reserve the right to exclude or refuse any player at any time, prior to and during the league if, in our opinion, that player is incompatible with the general well-being of the cricket match e.g. bullying, disruptive or aggressive behaviour. Players who have fallen ill prior to a tournament match should not be brought to the ground so that infection is restricted. Cricket coaches reserves the right to exclude any player for this reason.
